Birds in Flight

Cyanotypes exploring movement, atmosphere and the instinctive patterns of birds in flight.

From solitary birds to large murmurations, these hand-coated prints capture fleeting moments that often pass unnoticed. Some works focus on the elegance and freedom of flight, while others explore the darker realities of survival, weather and the natural world.

Using one of photography's earliest processes, each image is transformed through the distinctive blue tones of the cyanotype process and printed by hand on fine art cotton paper.

Each print is produced individually using traditional methods.
